When it comes to disaster preparedness, being proactive is crucial. As emergencies can strike when your loved ones are not by your side, it is vital to have a well-thought-out plan in place. This is where the SD Emergency app comes in handy, offering a range of features designed to help you prepare for various disaster situations.

Once disaster strikes, the SD Emergency app keeps you and your family well-informed with:

 <li>Interactive emergency maps</li>

 <li>ShakeReadySD Earthquake alerts from USGS</li>
 <li>Interactive earthquake maps from USGS</li>
</ul>

Please note: It's important to be aware that a known defect exists in this release whereby earthquake reports may not be displayed in the app under certain circumstances. However, rest assured that this defect does not affect the Earthquake Alert functionality.

In addition, the app features a comprehensive recovery section, providing valuable resources in the aftermath of disasters.

The SD Emergency app has been created by the County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services (OES) with the purpose of equipping San Diego County residents and visitors with the necessary tools and information to better prepare for and respond to emergencies.
